Dragan Latinčić



Dragan Latinčić (1982, Belgrade) is an Associate Professor at the Department of Composition, Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade. He defended his doctoral artistic project Batal, Preludes for String Orchestra (2014) with a theoretical study at the Department for Composition of the Faculty of Music, supervised by Full Professor, academician Vlastimir Trajković. 

 

He was active as a member of the Council for Publishing of the Serbian Composers’ Association and engaged in the project of digitizing the piano opus of Vasilije Mokranjac at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. 

 

He is the author of the books: Micro-intervals in Spectral Geometry, and Spectral Trigonometry (Foundation of Universal Musical-Mathematical Analysis), both published by Zadužbina Andrejević, as well as numerous scientific articles. 

 

He is the winner of the special award Frisch aus der Feder of the International Summer Academy Prague-Vienna-Budapest, and the April Award of the City of Belgrade. He is the laureate of the Thirteenth Meeting of Young Composers in Apeldoorn (The Netherlands).
